For those of you that use synthetic oil, how often do you change your oil?

 

i use mobile 1 5w30 with toyota oil filter and i change my oil every 3k...but then again its easy for me since i work at a toyota dealership...if i didnt work there i would probably wait till ever 5k to change my oil...

I also re-clean the K&N and MAF sensor!!!

 

i believe syntheic oil is required in for this vehicle..
maybe im incorrect.
could someone please verify?
regardless i use mobil 1 extended performance
they claim you can drive up to 15k or up to a year
this they claim but if you blow your engine they will say
"you should've follwed your owners manual"

 

They come from the factory with a synthetic blend.

 

I change with Mobil 1 synthetic (not the Extended Performance formula) every 5k miles.

To the question above, Engine oil does not require synthetic, I use Mobil 1 5-30 every 5k

 

The GS come from the factory with a synthetic blend but it doesnt require full synthetic or synthetic blend? I am confuse.

 

I change my oil every 10,000 miles in my 2001 LS430 . I have had my oil analiyzed once at 7500 miles and again at 10,000 (80% oil life left, but containaments were getting to the point they recomended changing it before 12,000 miles. Corvettes factory filled mobil one change every 15,000 .Porsche ,(check thier website) mobil one every 20,000 miles. You are throwing money away at 3k or 5k. The LS460 comes with regular motor oil from the factory 0-20 weight. They do not recomend synthetic, I asked why? The Lexus rep said they do not see the customer often enough for other maintence!!!

 

Change every 7.5K

 

i have a 2nd gen GS and change mine every 3000 with a Toyota filter
i guess after reading this i guess i could go longer

 

I changed my 450h every 8-10K with mobile 1 full synthetic when I still had it.
Now I change our GX every 8-10K with mobile 1, and our new addition to the family cayanne gts every 10K.

 

I agree synthetic oil will last longer, but will the oil filter go 7-10k without breaking down?
