Hello fellow CL members!
Just thought I would introduce myself as a new(er) CL member. I stumbled across this forum when I was trying to decide which car to get. I was deciding between a GS350 AWD and a BMW 335xi coupe. I know, not exactly similar cars but I really liked the idea of a 300 hp AWD car with a 6MT. In the end, I figured I could live with the automagic transmission with all the other stuff I'd be getting (most notably Lexus reliability and quality).
This is my first Lexus (coming from a Nissan Maxima) and after 6 days of owning it, I couldn't be happier.
Thanks to everyone at CL for helping me make my decision and for all the awesome tips and tricks (and modding ideas)! In fact, I was sitting on the fence when I read about the hard start problem some 08s were having. Once I saw that a TSB was released with a fix, I knew this was the car to get!
Here are a couple of pics of my 2008 obsidian on black GS350 AWD. Too bad front license plates are the law here (and they will pull you over for that). Here's hoping coilovers for the AWD get developed (by Tanabe or whoever)!
