430 engine

They may be kinda noobie, but i never found out. are the 3rd gen GS engines the same as the 2nd gen GS?

yes.. with 6speed transmission.

Yup. The reasoning is Lexus took the German strategy of keeping things interesting in the lineup by having engine changes during the cars generation life span.
