Lexus did a silence release on the 2008 face lifted GS 1 month before they started selling them.

I really doubt we'll hear anything about the next gen GS anytime soon. Speculations, yes, nothing concrete.

I found this motor trend article a while back about the GS-F:

I have asked to be first on the list (at my local dealership) for the GS-F when it comes out.
I remember back in '06 I asked to be first on the list for the new LX and sure enough I was.

If you watch the news and know what you want, you will be one of the first to get it. I cannot wait!!

If my memory is correct, I believe the 3rd gen GS launched two years after the current generation E-Class. The next gen E- Class will be released in 2009 as a 2010 model.

So I'd assume the 4th gen GS will arrive as a 2011 or 2012 model...and hopefully will eventually include a GS-F variant.

I'm a firm believer of not being the 1st one on the block to get a car off a major redesign or re-model (period). I don't care which brand, modern cars today have too much electronics, gadgetry, technology, etc to be bullet proof right out of the gate. I'll wait at least 9 months from date of release so I can see if all the production issues get ironed out. This is one area that I don't care to be the martyr/guinea pig . . .

In my opinion we wont see a GS-F in the form similar to the IS-F due to the recently adopted mpg criteria. I think maybe a smaller six with turbo is likely. Just not a big *** V8

I still say 4GS will likely be launched in 2011 as a 2012 model Hopefully, a GS-F won't be far behind ...

Lexus wont produce enough GS-F to effect the new C.A.F.E. mpg requirements.

I got my 2GS very shortly after the dealer got them. I absolutely ADORED my 1998 GS300, which my son has now, but it went into the shop an enormous number of times, almost all related to problems related to various parts of the car's electronics.

It was at dealer being repaired for problems 33 times in first 6 years! (This did not include any of the scheduled maintenance, which I always had done at dealer, regularly).

Still, if I had to do it again, I'd buy it first and hope for the best.

Use to be that Toyota / Lexus was the best at 1st year re-design compare to other manufacturners, but not anymore.

Yes sir, you are absolutely correct. The rumored GSF will have a fire-breathing 500+hp big **** V10, and I agree that the production figures to be somewhere south of 2k unit/yr...
