Hello folks. On the 2008 GS350, will the head lights automatically shut off when you stop the engine, exit the car and lock the door? I seem to frequently forget to turn off the head lights upon parking the cars. The manual is not clear on this point. thanks!

 

The headlights are automatic on/off... You should never ever have to touch the switch.

 

Yup, once you press lock twice on your keyfob the lights should turn off. Atleast that's how it is for my 07

 

it will turn off in 30 seconds (standard setting), you can adjust it via Lexus Personalized Settings...

 

I had mine set so the lights automatically turn off when I open the door to get out. The 30 seconds is too long, attracts too much attention, I guess it's good if you have a dark garage. I really liked how the my Prius did it, when you push the black button on the handle, the doors lock and the lights turn off. On the GS, the doors lock but the lights still stay on for the 30s.
