Would Lexus ever issue a firmware upgrade for 07's to get ride of the I Agree button and even disable the motion lock out. It is really annoying to have to consider paying $ 300+ to buy an aftermarket workaround. Lexus should do the right thing and make it work properly.

nope. in their mind it is working 'properly'. safety issue and they avoid liability.agree paying for the workaround is annoying but was my biggest gripe with the car so had to be done. They have taken a conservative position on this one and are sticking to it. Read some of the older threads. Lots of energy on this board has gone into unlocking the nav by different methods over the past few years and they just keeps making it harder to work around. Unless you want to join the Wire Cutting Gang.

Lexus already have firmware upgrade for 07 to get rid of the "I agree button". It's included in the new 7.1 version DVD map. But if you were talking about a free firmware upgrade, answer is no.

This is another example of Lexus Lawyers designing cars instead of engineers. They have always play it save, some other example of this is, no HIDs on their SUVs, except the RX which is a crossover. The headlights from the factory is always aim low. We had a Toyota VIP remote starter in our last car, Toyota design it to shut off the engine every time you enter the car, so you have to start the engine twice. Talk about a over kill on safety.

Yes. Dealer prices vary but center around $260. You can certainly do better on ebay. Just be sure to get the right generation dvd for your car's navi system.

I just got the 7.1 Nav Disk and the "I agree" is gone. I got it for $260 and with the $40 rebate for the old disk, It will cost me $220.

For older Gen4 system owners, keep in mind I agree is gone on Gen5 systems with 7.1. It's still there for Gen4 systems and 7.1.
