One thing i cant figure out.. When I turn off my heat, and (im pretty sure) nothing is on, I still feel heat coming through the vents. If I turn the heat back on and then lower it all the way, and then off, the problem goes away

is your "outside air" button on? click it to so "recirculate" is on
I leave everything in Auto. And yes the A/C should be on all the time it will help reduce window fogging and high humidity. You are conditioning the air not necessarily making it colder as the term is commonly used.
I'm just getting accustomed to using the CCS my new GS in cold weather and have noticed that, in Auto with A/C on, that very cold air comes from around the window switches and door handle on the drivers' side door, and from around the door handle on the passenger side. It's very annoying with the cold air blowing from the side and warm air from the vents.
It doesn't seem to be outside air. It is definitely A/C related because the cold air stops if I turn off the A/C while leaving just the heater running.
Yes, use auto A/C with the A/C button on. I recirculate the air as well. I usually have my termostat at 74 F here in Florida and its perfect. Took me a while to get used too but I love it now.
