Default anyone install side blinking markers for 3gs?

Hey guys, im kindve having a hard time in deciding whether or not I should install the side markers I bought from carson toyota.

Pros:
Not many people have it
increases visibility on the road when blinking
looks amazingly clean

cons:
drilling a hole in the fender
possible electrical issues if not installed right
and again, DRILLING A HOLE IN THE FENDER

what do you guys think?

I personally wouldn't because i don't like the shape of it, i would get the 08 side blinking mirrors instead.. BUT

since you already bought it

i'll show you some pictures for you to decide

nice pics! I want to get it done but Im very skeptical about getting holes put into the fender...also the side mirrors wont be original which is why I think its not going to look that great

But your side markets wont be original either, at least the 08 side blinking mirrors are oem. BTW, I think the 08 side blinking mirrors looks very sharp. Its one of the reason I bought a 08 instead of the 07.

haha, some people in the 2gs forum did it, it's just a matter of time before it's done here. so you might as well do it now

btw, they blink? that's cool. somehow i thought they only light up at night

I like that it looks pretty clean. How much does it run?

It looks very sharp only on light cars IMHO, on a black car it is not so great

Your best bet is to special order fenders from Japan unless you know exactly where to drill the hole which is not a good ideal.

looking at the jdm version cars and you can get a very good idea of the location already. to me there is no reason to be 100% exact (just me i guess)

Id say go for it, but have a pro do the install, or even dare I say a dealership.

If I remember right, the wiring is is not the easiest if you dont have some electrical know how. You need the side marker to come on when the headlights comes on and the side marker to blink with the signal lights.
