Update on my Creaking dash windshield issue.........
Well, I picked up car at the dealership last Friday, and the car seemed like it was fixed. More silent than I have ever heard it. Not wanting to comment on it, until we got some colder temps.
So this morning - New Years day. I wake up and it's -1 degrees. So, I take the car out, and only put the heated seats on. Turned off the interior heat and drove over rough swervy roads for about a 1/2 hour. Not a peep out of it. I think they may have really fixed it this time. Seemed like a totally different car.
It only took me 2 trips to the dealer, and the second time, I took a long a lot of comments that people had made here on their experiences getting it fixed. I also took along the name of the dealership and the contact there that solved the problem. The shop foreman rode with me the second time and said that he would contact a few of these dealerships and discuss various solutions. By taking these notes along with me, they knew I was serious about getting the problem fixed. They didn't pull any punches with the fix and listed about 6 different items that they fixed, which we've all discussed here before. They don't do all of these when you first take the car in. Maybe because they don't know about them all, or they are just trying to do a 'quick' job.
Anyway, the first fix seemed to be good until about 25 degrees and the second fix is good for below zero temps. - I'll check back in in another month or so.

Glad to hear you've gotten it fixed (knock on wood). I'm about to take mine in for the first time. I have the TSIB printed out for the uppper and lower retaining clips for the windshield. Did you happen to save the list of bookmarks for the relevant threads you printed out for your dealer? Thank you.

I never had any bookmarks, I just searched rattle, creak etc. - you'll get a boatload!

Advanced Search and specifying the search only to the 3rd Generation GS forum will help out alot.
I sent my GS350 AWD in for service and one of the issues that I had was the dash noises. The dealer kept the car for 3 days and removed entire dash. They removed the windshield clips and covered all of the contact points with felt to keep it quiet. It made a huge difference. Unfortunately, my car is back at the dealer for another long stay for wiper problems. I am hoping to get it back to drive it again sometime this year...
Took my 2006 GS AWD to the dealer for the rattles..got back and still rattles. They said they insulated with a "dash Kit" and that the windshield clips could not be remove at this time because my vin (aug'05 build)?? Isn't on the TSIB list?? I think that's crap BUT they said they heard from corporate it will be on the list in feb so I can bring it back in. Meantime I put a cut peice of a sock btwn the dash and windshield and almost all noise went away. Funny!! Lexus also said there will a handfull more TSIB's for the GS300 (not sure about 350) coming out in fab/march that's all they'd tell me
