Default Interior Lights

My foot level interior lights seem to be always on at night along with the overhead light that illuminates the center console/gear selector. Is it normal for the foot level lights to be on? How can I get them to turn off? In reading other posts it seems like the overhead light is normally always on. Is it possible to disable this light also? Thanks.

Yes those interior accent lights are supposed to stay on at night. The only way I can think of to disable that is to actually disable the wiring to the lamps themselves. This is also a feature on all other Lexus models.

Curious why you hijacked this thread....

to answer your question though, look for a small circle indentation in the leather on the seat top near the headrest support closest to center console. Push down on it and also on the headrest itself to lower manually. A more technical explanation of why it automatically adjusts and how to set manually is in the owners manual and in threads here on the the topic.
