On using the audio system, there is an option to change the speaker balance for the best sound according to each listening position. See page 284 of manual, section 3.3.

I do no get the "change" symbol or the seat icons displayed on the screen, in either CD or in DVD, DVD-A playback. Do I need to do anything? Have more than myself sitting in car? Many thanks for any advice.

 

Mine's just left on for all seats. If you're in your car by yourself majority of the time, you may find the driver's seat setting to sound the best. Or could be for front passenger. You could play around with it to see what you like.

 

I cannot get to the screen/or do not have the option of changing it. Do I need another passenger in the car?

 

it's on the main audio screen (showing the radio station) - lower left side. Just touch the DSP Speaker/radio button and it will come up

 

tim, i bet your car has mark levinson? if you have mark levinson i don't think you have that option. it's only for cars without ml

yeah, check the manual again, i believe that part you read is for cars without ML

i have ML and i don't have the change option. same for both the gs350 and ls460l
