This is replacement for GFM color, you can see it on Lexus website when you build car.

And yes I knew it was the replacement for GFM. However, it's a different color and thus, I'd like to see it.

the lexus.com website really butchers the colors badly. GFM looked like baby blue on there, when it really is nothing of the sort!

i saw a pic of an opaline LS in the LS460 forum, and it pretty much looked like a cross between starfire and GFM, but it was only in the owner's garage so it is really hard to get an idea of what it will look like in daylight...

I've seen one in person but didn't take a picture of it. I'm in the market for an upgrade but haven't made a decision yet on the LS 460L.

the "color" on lexus.com is totally dependent on your monitor settings

yea, your settings will still effect it, but a "true" picture of it posted would be a better representation of the "actual" opaline pearl color......

Opaline Pearl has some BIG shoes to fill. That Glacier Frost is one hell of a color IMO. A shame they discontinued it on the GS.

Haha, that's why I'll be buying a used 07 GFM unless Opaline is able to fill those shoes and more. Which I HIGHLY doubt.

As of last week, there were still a few dealers with NEW 07 GFM GS' sitting on their lots. Just do an advanced search on eBay.

As for the Opaline Pearl, it was being offerred on the 07 IS and LS, so even if dealers don't have the 08 GS on their lot, you might be able to see that color in those models.

I've seen Opaline Pearl on an 08 GS350 last week. It's definitely not the color that GFM was, but it is what it is. Think GFM but without the blue pearl. Here's a pic of it next to a Starfire LS460. Please excuse the camera phone pic quality.

Damn, can't tell 100% but it doesn't look as good as GFM. Especially if there's none of that blueish tint to it.

yes it does, to some extent, but if you look at the representation of GFM in particular, it was REALLY bad. i've looked at the color on various types of screens and computers, and it always favors this baby blue, similar to the GS450h's limited edition Neiman marcus color. not once in the time we've had our GFM has it ever looked like that!

i think that pic of the Opaline above isnt' too bad. in the shade/garage it probably resembles GFM alot, but the sunlight probably not. i hope it does not look like that oyster/alabaster white on the ES from years ago.
