Default Beep THIS!!

Can the beep tone when locking/unlocking the car using the remote be programmed louder? If so, is it something I can program or it's a job for the dealer?

Similar question regarding headlights. With the time change this weekend, I'll be heading out of the office after dark. Using my remote to open the car, can the headlights be programmed to turn on?

The dealer can adjust the beep. It comes under the heading of Personalized Settings. This is from a Lexus website:

Personalized Door Lock Setting (Remote Key Volume)
"By pressing the remote key to unlock the vehicle, the vehicle will beep one time when locking, and two times when unlocking the vehicle. The volume of the beep heard from the vehicle can be adjusted."

However, the standard default volume is set to High at the factory. So I suspect it is already at the max setting for your car. But have the dealer check it out.

As far as the headlights are concerned, you can have the dealer set the headlights to go off as follows, but not on before you get into the car:
Delaying headlights to turn off
"After turning off the ignition and all the doors are closed, if the headlights are ON or in the AUTO position, the lights can be programmed for the following:
1. Turn off immediately, when the vehicle is turned off and the driver door is opened.
2. Turn off in 30 seconds. (Standard)
3. Turn off in 60 seconds.
4. Turn off in 90 seconds."

Hope this helps

I'd like the same thing regarding the headlight as well. I wish the headlights would turn on when I unlock the car with the keyfob from far away just so I can see the surrounding a little better. I like the puddle lamps but they're not bright enough.

Thanks for the info,...but sheesh! Even a Buick will turn on its headlights using the FOB as you approach the car.
