Do you like the 2008 Front Facelift?
The chrome grill kills it for me....don't like how the grill integrates with the DRL...looks wrong....definately happy with my '07. I dig the directionals($$$ to switch out) on the '08. I'd honestly be a little more pissed if the HP was different....like '06-'07.
I don't think the 98-05 GS needed much updating throughout the model years...it is a classic design. I think that the 08 update gives the new GS a much more sculpted look...I do not like the fan blade wheels though...my only issue is that the extra chrome on the front grill almost makes the top of the bumper look heavy
At Dealership yesterday and had a side by side view of the 07 vs. the 08.... The 08 Won for me... It looks a little more refined and aerodynamic... not as rounded... as if the goal was to give the GS a little more character to compete with the BMW 5 series... I like it...to each his own!
Yeah I Agree With You I like the 08 A Lil, But As Some Of The Other People Said I Like My 06-07 Look Better... Oh And Sorry To Hear About Your Past Ride And Hope You Enjoy Your New Toy lol lol lol
While at dealership today, I had a chance to see new '08 GS350 AWD. I didn't get too close of a look, but I could of swear that new AWD multi-spoke wheels have spokes in a shape of '06-'07 RWD 5-spoke wheels, just narrower. Anybody else seen it or have a close-up picture of AWD new wheels?
Anyway. Maybe for an outsider these '08 changes are very subtle, but for me as an owner of '07 model I can say that car front and back completely lost its aggressive sporty look. On a silver colored '08 GS350 without a two-tone rear bumper, with all these additional extra curves and line, changed design around DRL, extra chrome, and even side-mirror turning signal - this looks more like a luxury car. Don't get me wrong, it all looks OK, but just not as sporty. Again, just my opinion.

Bingo, thats the one! Yes, I love it too!!! Actually, I came to a conclusion this is my only favorite part of '08 update. Something to keep in mind for the future if I want to stay with original 17" AWD wheels.
Also, I used to envy those side-mirror turn blinkers, but now they just remind me of MB. I guess it will be one of those details to distinguish '07 model from '08 when passing by, just like I used to do with sharkin/no-sharkin
