I've decided that there is no other color combo I want but Starfire Pearl with black interior, i know i know, the combo is impossible to come by and Longo lexus confirmed that the first batch of GS460 coming to shores are all starfire with cashmere.

So i might just go order it, and i've heard so many mixed stories about the time it takes from 1 months to 6 months so I want to hear it from the owners that did order theirs. Please help, thanks so much!

 

IF you can wait.......your a better man than I. That'll be so tight though!! Im rollin' the 2nd rarest 3GS made and people give me props all the time.

if it's really a custom order, it will take 90 to 120 days, that's 3-4 months, for the car to arrive (from the time you order). that's if the dealership knows what they are doing and they actually get their act together and start the order after you place it.

whoever tell you 1 month, that's not custom order at all. who the hell can make a car and have it shipped to the US so fast. 6 months that's too long

 

1 month would be allocation.

Order it, it's worth the wait!

Initially I ordered a GS350AWD GFM with Black interior, back in August of 2006. Waited over 3 months, still did not get a confirmation from Lexus factory. On my BD, ended with GS350 GFM with Ash interior...

depend on the dealership, have an agreement with them. usually it's 500 to 1000 at most, and almost always they are refundable

 

They should be refundable no matter what.

 

black leather is nice, but red wood is way too bright. love the black wood so went with ash even keeping it clean over the years is going to be a pain. wsh they offered black leather with black wood.

 

Gee that's strange, I have that color combo sitting in my garage! Found it in stock at a nearby dealership after emailing a few of them. Keep looking.

 

you got really lucky, since i travel back and forth from CA and AZ, I don't mind where i get the car from, I email almost every single dealer in these 2 states, none of them expect any white on black to hit the states.

First few batch will always include their best selling combo, white and cashmere. i am not taking my chance, i could end up waiting longer for ONE dealer to locate it and who knows, there might be other buyer like me looking everywhere for that rare combo

GS460 will be an awesome car, and in my opinion thats the only color combo to get it in.

 

lexus finally updated their website so now i have the full info i need to order my 3GS, anyone has luck to get some discount on special order cars?

talked to someone who knows a dealer very well and the best he can do is 500-1000 off MSRP + $750 cert from taste of lexus events that i will attend. This seems so minimal compared to some of the deals if i were to get them off the lots.
