Default Birthday Mod

My B'day is in 2 weeks and my wife wants to buy me a mod. I've narrowed it down to three choices.
Subwoofer
Aluminum interior trim
Tint

Tint is a distant 3rd so I'm not really putting too much thought into that one. I'm racking my brain, back and forth on the other 2. I could get both but that's no fun. A lot of the fun is picking and choosing mods....and when to choose them. So which would you do?

That's why thes 2 are neck and neck....I can enjoy both everyday. What you said is giving me the clue on which to choose. Which one gives the most everyday enjoyment??? Thanks Tony. I think I have it.

Personally the subwoofer would be out for me, I like the stock system, I don't need anything aftermarket unless it is for bragging rights lol.

I'm thinking tint would be my first choice. Makes it look good and keeps the cabin cooler. Second in line would be the interior aluminum trim will look good once it is put in, but after a while you won't notice it much. Which car is it going on?

Get tint. Is the aluminum trim kit just a stick on overlay or does it actually replace the parts?

x3 on the pics of the aluminum interior trim. Anyone know who makes/sells this trim kit? I really am curious to see what it looks like.

Ask yourself this question, am I more of a like to see things person or am I more of a like to hear things person? I'm visual so I would go for the Aluminum interior trim first. Either way you win though.

In Florida!!! TINT gives you enjoyment everyday. Without seeing your ideas, I'm not a fan of aluminum trim but on your pics of the GS, I think the TINT would add a lot to the "look" of it but also serve a useful purpose. Go Tint Reggie

Here's a pic of the aluminum dash kit I had on the SC300. I'd get one similar but I wouldn't use all of it. I wouldn't cover the black/marble wood pieces that are so beautiful in the GS. Just around the console and doors.

Here's my thinking:
I am not a fan of tint. Takes away the clean look of the car. I'll do it one day because it protects the interior and keeps it cooler but not now.

I'll be 49 in 2 weeks but I still love music and big bass. The 3GS stereo sounds fine but there's not enough bass on some of my older cd's. Seems a little weird though for a big older kid to be riding around with the bass booming but that's what I like.

The dash kit just makes the interior different than everyone else with the same car. I'm not taking apart a 50K car to get the pieces replaced so it's the stick on pieces. Looked alright to me the last time I did it.
I'm leaning toward the dash kit. I just can't stand my car looking the same as anyone else's.

The GS is much taller so it wouldn't be as bad but you still have to look out for hazards.

Plus, I'm not sold on the the idea the car needs a kit. It's tall and slab sided. A kit would make it look more tall and slab sided. I like sleekness. Maybe just a front and rear lip but the sides are full enough already. We'll see....maybe down the road. I need to see some kitted 3GS's in person.
