Dealer Experiences
Lexus of Dayton (Ohio) treats you like gold.. not one bad experience there.. they do whatever it takes to make sure you're happy. Will be buying my 5th car from them soon.. Also had an experience with Lexus of Knoxville, TN this year when my RX tranny failed mid way to NC, other than them being close when we had to drop the car of and them leaving no way to do so with the lot barricaded and no night drop for keys, the experience was good.. I was dealing with Lex corporate since my mileage was over the drivetrain warranty and the dealers communication with them could have been better, but in the end Lex covered 100% of the tranny replacement, so I can't complain
Performance Lexus in Cincinnati is another story though.. I only go there to browse since its 10min from my home, but nobody seems to want to sell me a car there.. and their service dept reminds me of when I owned GM cars.. Maybe it will improve with the new dealership they are building, but I'll still drive the extra 20mi to Dayton for service and purchases..

Wilkie Lexus in Haverford, PA (outiside PHL) is okay. I drove an '03 330Ci for 4 years and got it serviced at Thompson BMW Doylestown, PA. It was an absolute joy working with those people. I really can't stand car dealers and service people, but it was great. It was 25 miles each way...and a tough 25 miles...but it was worth it. Thompson has a Lexus dealerhip in Doylestown as well, but Wilkie had the car so I had to get it there. I was told that the 07 GS430 was technically a special order car, at least in Wilkie's eyes. I was told they order 4 per year to sell and the rest are ordered for their customers with a 6-8 week lead time. So Wilkie had an Obsidian/Cashmere loaded and a Red/Cashmere loaded on the lot in March. I wanted Obsidian/Black, but the Cashmere was sexy, too, so I took it. As far as Wilkie's pricing, they moved a little. They dropped like $1,262 without me even asking. The sticker on mine was $58,262 and the said they would let it go for $57,000. I told them I wanted it for $55 and they came down to $55,900 and said that was it. So I took it. Delivery was smooth. I had it serviced once there for the 5,000 mile and that went well. They harassed me to get the Lexus Personalized Settings done by sending a letter a month from when I picked it up until I had 5,000 miles on it and brought it in. I think they really wanted to do that for me. They sent several surveys and I completed those. The only thing about Wilkie is that they are on Lancaster Ave. in Haverford and there is not a lot of space. The parking lot is really tight and I am very afraid to leave my car there even for a second. I was driving a rental Tahoe when I bought my car and it was almost a joke wheeling that behemoth around there. They do have an car elevator and keep a lot of their new higher end stock like the 430 on the roof of the building. The red one was in front of the dealer on display far from any traffic and mine was on the roof when I looked at it. A cold day in February on the roof, that's for sure.
Yeah, Wilkie is really small. And that was an upgrade when they moved there several years ago. Did not purchase a car at Thompson Lexus in Doylestown, PA, but I did deal with the service dept. They were very helpful, particulary one guy who I think was an asst. mgr.
We have 4 dealers in Houston, Tx. I started with Sterling McCall and wound up at Westside Lexus. Did not evaluate the other 2 dealers, but was very happy with my experience at Westside and would do repeat business with them again.
i drive 2 1/2 hours to Lexus of Glendale because they have been so good to me they even got a stupid car rental place that tried to charge me 4 months later stating that i had damaged the car i rented.
i have been treated like crap at Bakersfield Lexus, every time i go to the lot i get looked at like what are you doing here and when someone that is dressed in slacks comes after me they run to them. before i got my Lexus at Glendale i went to Bakersfield and they were talking to me like i cant afford their cars and then when they told me that they couldn't sell me a car on Sunday because all the banks are closed i flipped and pulled out the quote i got from Glendale and they flipped because they said they cant sell me a car for that price. i had the feeling they think i was talking **** so i gave them the number and name of the Internet sales man so they can verify and the came back and said OK we can do it but you have to come back on Monday, i laughed and told them im getting this today and said thanks for your time and the rest is Glendale history. the best part is when the lady called the next day and said "HI we have you car ready to go, all you need to do is come on down and sign away." i said no thanks i told you i was buying today and your dealership treated me like i wasn't serious. shes said oh....ahh.... ok....bye.

Went to 2 different Lexus dealerships to get our GS. We got totally different treatment between the 2 dealerships. Both the wife and I were dressed in jeans and t-shirts.
First we went to Lexus of Bellevue (WA). We spent about 45 minutes walking the lot looking at different GS cars. There were sales people walking the lot but not one of them even came over to talk to us. We finally got fed up and left. I figured if they can't even make an effort to even talk to me, I don't want to give them $45K for a car.
We went to Lexus of Seattle the next day and we were approached shortly after getting out of our car. We had 2 different sales people working with us to find the car and options we wanted. They took the car out of the showroom for a test drive, since it was the only one they had that had the options we wanted. We ended up buying the car later that evening. There was no pressure approach, and negotiations were easier and less stressful than any other car I have bought.
