Default No side mirror blinkers

Why is it that LEXUS is so slow to adopt the turn signal in the side view mirror???? Personally I think it's the best safety feature to come around since the air bag. Just about every "luxury" car mfg puts them on their cars, even some not so luxurious domestic autos have them. Instead we get "puddle lamps?" By the time the puddle lights go on the only thing they tell you is that you are standing in the middle of a puddle. I would rather that fellow drivers know Im trying to change lanes than see the side of my door lit up.

Hmmm. How easy/hard would it be to swap them? Let's see who has the $ to do this first.

I personally prefer the JDM side signals on the front fender. That gives you more visibility than the signal on the mirror IMHO.

B/C Lexus, one of the safest car companies around, has studied them and see no actual benefit. I am sure if they were that safe or effective, Lexus would have them by now.

I wanted the mirrors too. I just like the looks. When driving behind a MB that uses his blinkers (which for some reason is rare (blinker use)) I like how you can see the edge of it blinking. If youre the car infront, I can see the side mirror flashing more so than a side marker flashing.

With a side marker on the fender, you'll see the whole thing no matter what position you are relative to the car and not just the edge of it.
