Default 2007 GS dashboard material
does anyone know what the top of dashboard and door panel inserts are made of on 2007 GS350? Not sure if it is leather , was going to clean it with vinylex. Any advice is appreciated.

Thw top of the dash and top door insert are vinyl.

the door panel insert is leather. Dash is plastic.

oh i doubt there's real leather on the door...... it feels synthetic

it is real leather on the door insert. The armrest and the small insert above it.

When I bought vinylex at store the salesperson asked me what car I had and he told me am I sure the dash is not leather on a Lexus? That is what bought up this concern.

Come on... a LEATHER dash? I'm not even sure Bentley's have leather dashes, much less Lexus.

Several cars have leather dashes. Mercedes uses them quite often (GL550, S600, ML63, CLS, SL, etc)

Most mainstream cars these days have leather seating surfaces, and convincing looking vinyl on any other surfaces that need to match the leather on the seats.

My 997S has it and I believe it was around $3500 just for the full leather dash and doors. My GL has it as well but I believe it was standard on the Premier Edition. Very impractical IMO but the way it looks..... fuggedaboutit!

According to Lexus.com spec sheet, door insert is "simulated leather"
