Pre-delivery damage?
So maybe I'm being a bit paranoid here, but I would much appreciate people's input on this one...
We've had the GS for 6 months and about 2k miles. Today, I finally did what I've been meaning to do for sometime, drive the car on ramps and look at the underside to get acquainted with things (see where the oil filter is, etc.).
While down there, I noticed that the tabs on the bumper that attach the bumper to the plastic underside covers are all scratched (plastic scraped) in a circular pattern around the screws, as if someone who was tightening the screws (which have hex heads) was a little careless with the socket. This could have certainly happened at the factory, but I have reasons to suspect it may have happened afterwards.
The car was delivered with minor damage to the bezel around one of the front park assist sensors, though the sensor works perfectly, and everything around it looks fine. The damage is so slight that, unfortunately, I noticed it the day after picking up the car while I had been detailing it for a few hours. Of course, it didn't help that it was dark and snowing at delivery time.
In any case, I would appreciate it if anyone could at some point take a look under their front bumper to see if they have similar marks on the plastic tabs.
Of course, the marks themselves don't bother me. I just want to get a sense of whether the bumper was replaced or repaired before we bought the car...
The attached picture attempts to show the issue. The front of the car is to the right, and the "damage" is to the left of the screw head.
Thanks in advance!
