Default Wheel Teaser

Okay, I'm not good at keeping secrets. Here's a pic of the wheels I have ordered. Wheels are chrome Giovanna forged 20x8.5 35 offset all around. Didn't want staggered, this is not a sport coupe (to each his own). The glacier frost GS screamed for bling so I got it for her. Still debating tire size. I want 245-35 but getting closer to ordering 245-30. So what do you all think. Hope you like them.

Lip size is 2 1/2 inches. Not bad, it's enough to get the job done. I could have gotten 10 1/2 wide rears with 4 in lips but 3 things made me do the even fitment.
My other gs looks great and rides good with even fitment.
The tire chart shows that staggered fitment will have different diameters causing different tire speeds which will eventually affect braking, maybe even drivetrain issues.
I can go back to rotating.
Plus, it isn't a sport coupe where the effect is much more apparent.
I may end up regretting that decision but we'll see.

What are you doing with your 18's? And...how are you handling the TPMS issue?

The wheels are made to accomodate the tire pressure monitor.
Usually, I keep stock wheels then put them back on when I get rid of the car. I thought I would keep the SC forever but I kept the wheels anyway and glad I did.
I do feel I may keep this car a very long time but I hate to get rid of the stockers. Especially these very nice wheels. Everythings for sale at the right price though. I have no idea what it would be. ANy ideas?

very nice choice, should look great on your GS. I had a set of giovanna wheels, although they were the heavy 1 piece, for 2 years and no problems at all.

Yeah, I feel comfortable with the Giovanna brand. They have a 10 year history of doing chrome. Most high end wheels have peeling chrome after a period of time. I would think Giovanna being chrome experts these would be better. Giovanna's GFG line makes me comfortable they also know what they are doing with quality multipiece forged wheels. This is their first 2 piece product but I'm comfortable the quality is there. Can't wait to touch them to confirm that.

I often read about guys having their forged wheels chrome plated and cringe. It's a tricky process and more often than not, will not last and can potentially induce small cracks over time. It's much better to have them polished.

I suspect the Giovanna people know what they're doing.

Hey Tony,
Your ride would look hot with chrome too. Actually, I prefer white faced w/chrome lips for white cars. The Axis look pretty good but white screams for bling baby.

I'm sure many of you guys can relate to this.

I'm waiting on the wheels and I look at pics of them every chance I get....which is stupid cause you're gonna start nitpicking and second guessing your choice. I saw one pic where they were in 20 then realized all the other pics I had seen were 22's. They look great in 22 but that pic of the 20 was horrible. So I looked for other pics of 20's. The Giovanna website gallery doesn't say but what do you all think. This first pic looks like 20's...if they are 20 they look alright to me.

ANd this second pic looks like 22's and they look waaay better.

Oh well, money has already been spent with a 25% restocking fee if I cancel. Guess I'll have to wait and see and hope they look alright. I hate waiting.
