Is his budget of $1k too low? If his budget were higher, and he wanted his car lowered with the best performance, what would you say the best choice would be? What about if he just wanted it lowered slightly, say like an inch and a half? Is that even worth it?

Stock is the only option right now. There hasn't been any development of aftermarket shocks to my knowledge on the 3rd generation GS.

Congrats on your new Lexus purchase....I literally picked up the same ride....I'm enjoying my GS very much....did you buy AWD??

Likewise!!! I bought it RWD and I don't think they sell any AWD here in L.A., correct me if I'm wrong.
