3rd gen GS vs LS460
im curious to know which car people thinks look better. lets take price out of your determination. soley based on exterior apperance. the reason why im asking because alot my peers say that the GS looks better then the LS460 but just bc the LS has more gadjets and its the flagship they would take it over the GS.
I think they both look great. I like the unique look of the GS. I like the sleekness of the LS. If money is no object, the LS would be my choice. You always get the best you can afford.
i don't think the LS looks anything like the ES.
i don't get confused a mile away.
I think the LS finally has the pimp factor of the 7-series.
The LS is even being referred to in rap music.
Fix it up, and an LS will look very pimp.
as an aside, the integrated muffler look should go in the GS standard.

Are you kidding? The LS looks like a bulbous ES.
The GS is unique in that it was the first "L-Finessed" car. From a side angle, the GS is gorgeous. But I much prefer the ES/LS front end 'cause the GS is looking a little dated. It'd be nice if they refined the door handles on the GS as well.
Still, the GS is sleeker than either of those cars.

LS looks so much better than the GS as far as I am concerned.
The rear end of the GS is what ruins it's look. Looks like an afterthought - especially the lights.
Both cars are luxury cars, so I would consider them equally. A GS is anything but sporty.

I happen to think the rear is the GS best exterior feature. From a straight on rear view it looks powerful with muscular haunches but still stylish. The lights are a little droopy but mostly they look curvacious to me. The white at the bottom of the tails remind me of the JP tails.
Always interesting how tastes are different.

LS460 by quite a margin for me. The LS460, especially the L version, & the IS350 are the 2 Lexus sedans that I like almost immediately after I saw them the first time, whereas the 3GS was a disappointment when I first saw it (& I am not a fan of the 2GS either).
The 3GS has since grown on me & I think it's the best looking GS to date, especially in person, but for me LS460 > IS350 > 3GS in term of exterior appearance overall.

Front: GS looks better. Definately most distinctive of all the Lexus models because of the four-light design.
Profile: LS (long wheel base) looks better. Profile of the GS is too "Nissan."
Rear: LS looks better. LED lights and double exhaust design is awesome.
Interior: GS looks better. Less cluttered than the LS; and the LS has that weird Japanese pagoda design.
Overall: LS looks better. Definately defines what a "flagship" should look like = a conservative luxo-barge limousine, not a sports sedan...
