There is no standard dvd hack for the regular navi (2007 version) to play dvds?
I HAVE to PURCHASE the ML system to play dvd?? Is that correct???

yes. ML cars come w/ DVD changers, while non-ML cars come w/ CD changers. so you cannot play DVD's on a non-ML car without some sort of aftermarket setup.

Or you could purchase an aftermarket DVD player and tap that into the reverse camera display and install a switch to trick the car into thinking that it's in reverse to bring up the display, however, it's going to have the "check surrounding" message on the display the entire time.
