My new GS350 makes brake dust like a desert storm. It's horrible. I wash the car/wheels and by the next day, they need another wash. What have you guys done to combat this? Will Lexus change out pads for free because of the complaint? Which pads are you guys using? Search function yielded no results. Help!
That's surprising, given how many times this topic has been discussed.
Just shows that search mode isn't perfect. I put in Brake Pads, nothing. Then I tried Brake Dust, nothing. It all depends on the title of the thread I guess.
Anyway, I'm glad for the link. I'm ready and armed in case they give me a hard time. This is the absolute worst case of dust I have ever laod eyes on.

That's really weird! I put "brake dust" and got 500 hits. The first page included the main two threads on this topic.
While driving today, I saw a black GS350 with front wheels "matching" the color of the car. Sheesh!!! I don't think that person ever washed the car since they got it. Yep, low dust front brakes is by far the best "mod" on my car
BTW when you do a forum search a lot of the times you get posts with keywords in the signature. Therefore, for example, in my signature I link every single mod to a specific thread. Makes life easier for others
I called to make my appointment and they never heard of this TSIB. I had to tell them I'd pay if I had to just to get the appt. I sense things are changing at JMLexus since the owner died. This isn't the first time I've felt it. I may have to get tough...like I used to in the old days.
Seems like a majority of the Lexus models have this problem. I have an IS and the same thing occur. The rears are super duper clean, but the fronts, whew--as dark as the street!!! There are wheel cleaners you can buy at any automotive store that's suppose to "repel" brake dust so they don't accumulate that fast. But eventually, they will start to collect dust but in longer intervals. I just clean it really good like once every two weeks.
My dealer's initial response was "what is a TSB" swiftly followed by "we don't have them here".
I have been reading 2thfixer's reviews of these low dusting pads feeling somewhat envious.
My driving style has started to change; I now try to get from A to B using the brakes as little as possible...I think I'll just end up ruining my transmission...I wash my car once a week, but every 3-4 days I wash the front wheels on their own.
Higher quality pads are softer and produce more dust. Better stopping power overall. Dust is a pain, but my be worth it if you are an aggressive driver.

My dealer denied that there was a TSIB for pad on the GS. So I had to look up the number on this forum and give it to them.
