Had windshield replaced last week. now i'm hearing wind noises coming from the top part of the windshield. sounds when you crack the windows when driving but very faint. going to wash the car tomorrow and check for leaks. do you guys know if this is a common problem? did the installer forget to put some sealer? pls help. thanks

 

Sounds like an installer problem. If your installer didn't put a complete bead of urethane at the top, chances are air is seeping through breaks in the bead. I would have them check and if anything reinstall it.

 

See, this would be why I'm worried about replacing my windshield. Damn rock. I know my luck. I'm sure it won't be a problem-free procedure for me.

 

This is really a non-issue if the glass replacement company has a guarantee on their workmanship. This is usually why it's best to go with a reputable glass company...someone your local Lexus dealership uses or your insurance company recommends.
