$39K for 450h w/ 9,900 miles???
Guys:
I came across the following:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2007-...QQcmdZViewItem
Is this for real? Auction looks a little shady, theres a little box that pops up offering the buy it now at 39k but the auction itself doesn't have a buy it now button below the option to do a regular bid. Also the title says BIN 39,000.
Wondering what you guys think.

Also the box says to send him a message via the box as his home email doesn't work. Interesting how someone can check electronic messages and post an ebay listing but not have working email?
Seems shady. Even though he's had positive feedback, it's all for small $5 items.
Best thing to do: bid if you really want the car, and don't give any money/info until you have physical access to car and title.

haha, I never got a reply from that guy as if that's a big surprise. I still wonder how he got that box on the screen. He must have added some sort of script to the auction text.
2thfixr- I'm still in law school and plan to buy when I graduate next year and have a target of nabbing a higher mileage (for the age) GS350 for under 30k, however in my eBay 3GS gawking, that one caught my eye so I decided to post it up on here. So I guess you can say I'm ready to pull the trigger at the right price. Even if it's a girly looking light blue 450h, for a student, price is king!
I figure my best bet would be to grab a private party GS350 with mileage just under 50k. That way I'll have a short time period to warranty out any problems the previous owner may not have gotten fixed or even noticed but someone as meticulous as me and many on this board will readily notice.
P.S. If there are any rich dentists out there willing to sell their GS to a student for a deep discount to get into a new car. I'm willing to drive cross country for it! haha

I got a response from the seller....he removed the listing because someone offered him the BIN price but wants to sell immediately. Car is in San Jose, CA. SUpposedly he says he can ship free and eBay offers an escrow service that will hold the money until I confirm receiving the vehicle with title in my name.
Yeah, after a bunch of emails back and forth. I know this guy is a fraud. I asked for a VIN to run a carfax and the vin he provided is to a black 450h. On further research, that car is for sale by a dealer. He must have pulled it from the net. I wonder if I should report this guy to the authorities. His picture album has pics of all types of cars.
I tell ya, Ebay blows, I'm trying to buy an Ipod on ebay and win an item only to get an email from the seller and then ebay saying "DONT SEND PAYMENT" someone hacked her account or got ahold of her password and listed tons of ipods on the account. Luckily I didnt send payment. Still searching I see more ipods with the exact same pricing and descriptions posted by accounts from all over the US in close unison. Ebay is starting to become a joke. Some of these accounts have some feedback some no feedback. You can't ever be sure of that crap and its such a hassle I hear to get the stingy bas**** at ebay and paypal to give you your money back. I guess I'll have to head over to Costco to pick-up an ipod!
