Scheduled to have 35% Llumar (non-metallic) installed next Friday. I notice that there is a small camera (or sensor) located directly beneath the third break light. I assume it's some sort of light sensor (perhaps for nav). It appears to point straight back. Will the tint impact it's function (whatever it is)? Should a small area be cut out to accomodate it?

That camera is for the "tint" function for the glass cluster... You know where your gauges are.

It determines how much light and from what angle the sunlight is coming in from and then tints your glass gauges to a bluish color as so you won't be blinded by the glare.

Before tint on my car, I would notice this bluish tint daily, now since I have tint, I don't notice it as often for good reasons, I have tint and less sun glare is coming in the car now.

I wouldn't worry about it. Tint as darks as you'd like.
