This looks great! - The 3 plugs helps a lot, as that is what confused me. It was different from the 2006.

1 Last question . does cutting the #23 yellow wire and grounding the monitor side's #23 wire bypassing the nav affect the parking brake light in dash at all? (meaning, even when you have the parking brakes on the light in the dash will not come on)? Thanks!

The light does not come on. It functions normally. I was initially worried about this myself.

Any help or advice greatly appreciated. I have a 2006 GS300 AWD. Am told it has Gen4 Nav. The lockout features drive me crazy. Is this wire cutting thing my only option? It's well detailed here but i think is beyond my do it yourself ability. anybody know where i could get it done in the boston area? (assuming it will work. seems many of the solutions on the forum are Gen specific). Million thanks if i can get some help here.

Default Rocker Switch

The rocker switch I've been using keeps falling through the hole (just a tad bit small around the edges) when I press it. I see the one used by EyeKutr and I like it. Where do you find a switch like that or does anyone else have a better rocker switch that fits the space better than this one?

Anybody know where I can order a "sport" button? I figure if I can figure out the circuit board and find the right pins I can use it.

Yup, they sell these switches by themselves. - But you are going to have to pay $90 for it at the dealership.

That alone made me satisfied with the $5 from Lowes.

That's a simple soldering job, if you get half you interior out to get this done, you should not be afraid of a simple soldering job

i have a question, do i need a switch if i just want to have the ability to watch movies while driving? from what im reading, im under the impression that the switch only needs to be activated in order to type destinations while driving and has no effect on dvd playback or bluetooth. so do i really need to get the switch if all im looking to do is get the dvd in motion?

So what is the easiest way to enable DVD playback while driving ? I don't really care about using the nav while driving, so would I still have to do the first few steps ?...
