Default AFS Sensor Adjustment - Help

Hello,

I just had the Tanabe nf210 springs installed and the AFS sensor light started flasing on the dash. The shop tried adjusting the front and rear sensors to attempt to fix the AFS issue. However, I am still having this problem and the shop would like to know exactly where the placement of the sensors should be. Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks,
John

Your problem may require a simple adjustment of the leveling arm. See this tread for its location: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=183257

Good luck

Hey, We actually tried adjusting the rear leveling arm but unfortunately taht didn't resolve the issue. We also tried adjusting the front leveling arm as well. I would appreciate it if anyone knows what the placement of the leveling arms should be (I hope I'm explainig myself correctly).

In any case I may just have to bring it back to Lexus.

I had the same problem and the shop couldn't fix the problem either, by using the tread. The installer put the bracket back upside down, and my local Lexus dealer fixed it for free. Problem solved. Dealer told me that allot of installers do this for some reason, he had seen the problem 5 or 6 times before.

The TPMS system is even crazier. You HAVE to go to the dealer to program the new sensors if you get 2 sets of rims and use the old sensors and new sensors. That's a massive drag if the installer didn't record the TPMS sensor serial numbers prior to installing the tires on the rims. You have to do a complete un-install and re-install.

Hi Ernie, Thanks for the info. I brought my car to Lexus today and they informed me that my rear AFS sensor is now broken. They stated that no matter how they adjust the rear AFS sensor/leveling arm - the read-out stays the same (??). I'll have to contact the shop that did my install. Hopefully the AFS issue will get fixed soon.

Btw, I'll probably PM you if and when I decide to get a new set of wheels so that I can avoid the TPMS problem. =)

Does anyone have a pic of the sensor itself installed correctly and incorrectly? This would help a great deal if so. Thanks in advance to anyone that can help us.
