I am 6' 2" and 225 lbs (yeah..... should work out more.... ) I don't have any problem with seats. However, I do need to lower the seat way down. Lexus seats are very comfortable for me already, compares to my 05 Miata (butt cheeks really hurt.. probably bruised after a long drive )

I had a GS for a loaner last year, and both my passenger and myself were in actual pain within 15-20 minutes of driving the car. My butt hurt so bad it was awful. For some reason, it isn't bothering me in the least in this car.

I had Acura and Honda cars in the past, and it would always take over a month to find a comfortable position. I had to endure lower back and leg pains before until I could get used to the seats.
Nothing like that in my GS450. I found a comfortable position on the first day (during my 5 hour drive from NY to DC) and the seats felt great ever since. I think this is the most comfortable seat I've ever experienced. I do wish that the lumbar support was adjustable up and down and not just in and out.

Dealer Discussion Time
Thank heaven I found this thread! I'm about to pawn off my 3 month old car because I can't get comfortable in the seat!! Butt cheek pain, lower back pain...i've tried 242 different seat positions and nothing works. Love the car. Hate the seats. Look comfortable. Feel lousy. Please chime in.

Ok, it sounds silly, but I swear I have like bruise marks are each cheek. I sit in the seat for like 15mins and when I get out, it feels like something was pressed hard against my butt on the outer edge. Kinda like where a button would be from your back pocket. But I dont have a button. This is killing me.
And if I push on the seat, it feels really soft, so I don't know what I could be hitting. I'm "only" 168lbs so I'm not that heavy.
pls, no butt jokes. I'm serious.

Lexus Test Driver
I have problem with Toyota/Lexus Seat in general
My major problem is the seatback other than the short seat base cushion. Toyota and Lexus seat cushion is relatively shorter than the Euro/Domestic brand vehicles… I am 6’1”/180 lb and I would like to see a longer base cushion or something like G35/Avalon’s optional seat cushion extension. But the major problem is the uncomfortable seatback: my lower back gets hurt if the drive is longer than 30 minutes, almost no exception. This happens in both Toyota and Lexus but never a problem in my old 92 Dodge Dakota. Strange? Yes and I can’t figure out the reason but blaming on Toyota’s seat ergonomic design. I believe this is just me but certainly a “painful” price to pay…
