Sorry, you want to spend another $12,000 to supercharge the GS350!?!

I would rather purchase GS450H in the first place, just to be save. Because based on the number they given on TOM'S supercharger kit, it is pretty close to GS450H. So I would assumed that performance wise would be about the same as well.

I don't know, just one my thought!!!

That's true, with 12k different I'd get the 450h as well.

It seems they also have a supercharger kit for the 450h !
Let's see 340 (450h HP)+68 (HP gain on the 350)= 408HP !

Someone as $12k they didn't use ?

True... but "Supercharged" sounds so much cooler than "hybrid synergy drive".
Well... not when it comes to fuel economy though.

I guess if you don't like the idea of a supercharged GS, then you wouldn't like the following cars either: M5, E55, E63, S55, S65, S6, RS6, and S8 (maybe RS8 if they decide to make it).

I feel like TOM's is the closest thing Toyota has to an AMG (probably more like Brabus). I seriously hope they take off and perhaps one day build engines for Lexus.
I love my GS and I owned an M5. You can put the space shuttle engine in a GS and it will not be in the same field as an M5. These cars are not designed for it.

Got to agree here. Drove a 540i and the 540 put the power down a lot better than the GS350rwd. When you WOT the GS from a stop all I get is wheel spin than all the electronics tries to take control, compared to when I had the 540i I got a lot less wheel spin and better power to the ground. To get that much power to the ground you probably need wider tires maybe better weight distribution, and definitely better suspension. Love the fast sports sedans like the M5, RS6 but not the AMG sedans which are great in straight line but drive like a whale in the corners and I think this is what the GS may drive like with the supercharger.

You cannot compare the gs or is to the big german guns as far as performance. They have my respect, the only thing I have to say is that I trust Lexus quality control against any carmaker out there.I would also prefer to work on Toyota's & Lexus rather than other makes.

As far as power output, Lexus with aftermarket modifications might be able to keep up, but not so much in real-life performance, maybe straight line acceleration, but definitely not handling.

And I would definitely assume the same kit fits on GS450h since well, they have the same engine.

That is why I drive a GS instead of a M5. My M5 had 25K miles and needed an $8K repair. Of course I miss the rumble (DINAN) and the respect I got at the lights, but I would rather be driving my car than servicing it.

I worked as a quality control tech for a BMW dealer about 15 years ago before moving over to Toyota.I loved the way the M5 drives.I would like to sell the sti and get the last year of the m5 (pre v10) but im scared that i'll be constantly working on it.
