I believe GS460 is due in Spring 07

I'm curious what kind of wheels are going to be on GS460... since we get that 5-spoke 18s on GS350 now....
perhaps 19s??

My dealer say it is more like Aug. 07.

Too early to accept deposits. He said that there is going to be model updates to the GS for Aug. 07. He won't say any more. We can guess that it is the GS460.

hm...maybe...but i don't think it's too early to accept deposits...because when the gs450h was coming out...the deposits were already placed over a year in advance for the car...so why not the gs460?

May be Lexus changed their mind and decide to release GS500 first!!??

Anyone know if we are getting 19" wheels on GS460?? Looks like LS460 comes with 19" wheels on it....

Would be nice too see a GS go head-to-head with a BMW M5.

The GS450h is just 0.5 seconds slower than the M5 and yet it only has 339 hp compared to the 500 hp V10 of the M5.

Plus the GS450h has 3.5L V6.

Would be sweet to see a GS600h in like 2008. Which would do 0 - 60 mph in the same time as the M5.

GS600h - V8 hybrid 5.0 L 440hp
M5 - V10 5.0 L 500hp

Thing is BMW might replace the M5 by 2009 / 10.

So would give the GS600h owners a good two years to play around with the BMW M5 owners.

I would compare it to Mercedes or Audi but too tired.

S6 - V10 5.2 L 435hp (0 - 96 km/h: 5.1 seconds)

One thing for sure the GS450h has 100hp less than the Audi S6, yet its 0 - 96 km/h is practically the same.

One thing the GS450h for the price and performance is amazing. The M5 is like a whole $50k Canadian than the GS450h. Plus it is as quick as a Porsche Carrera 4S (Tiptronic S)

Lexus for life!

I remember that when Lexus launched the redesigned LS430 back in 2001 there was little mention of an upgrade to the GS but very quietly at the same time, Lexus introduced the GS 430. Do you suppose that Lexus plans to do something similar this time? It doesn't make much sense to keep building 4.3L V8's just for the GS 430 when sales have dropped off to a few hundred units per month.

Ye we can pray............Lexus doesn't even offer a damn sports package option on the GS. It would be nice to have a sports package that includes 19in wheels, a firmer & lower suspension, and blacks out the ugly chrome trim around the grill and headlights.
