Default who tracks their GS?

I take my Audi to the track a couple times a year just to test its limits. It allows me to get to know my car better w/o being worried about getting into an accident. I was thinking about taking the GS350 after i've broken it in so I can get a better idea of what the car is all about. As of right now, I'm affraid to push the car around corners and twists because i dunno if it can handle what my AWD audi w/ rims and suspension can. Or am i simply an idiot for even thinking about taking this beautiful luxury car to the track?

That's an awefully new car to take to the track. If I had the GS350, I wouldn't even think about racing it at the track, especially since it has stock suspension. I can probably tell the limits of any stock Lexus just by driving aroud my neighborhood (i'll get flamed for this)

My guess is that the GS350 will be waaayyy behind your audi.

yah i wouldn't take the GS now, its too new, but in a few months i might. Its also my first RWD car so i don't know how it will behave. I dunno if i should drive with the traction control off on a daily basis. Its much faster than the audi in a straight line but it handles like **** compared to the audi.

on a daily basis, leave the traction control on. No point in turning it off as it makes no difference in daily driving, especially if the ground is dry.

There is a guy in NC(sorry I forgot your name, we met in Charlotte) that tracks his GS 430. He was kind enough to have a thread with tons of pics of him at the track. he tracked his previous car.

I can't find the thread.....

While I'm certainly NOT against taking the car to the track, be careful of showing pictures and discussing it on PUBLIC forums. Someone in my Thunderbird club had their insurance revoked since they had pictures of the car running down a 1/4 mile track!

GS430 at VIR as 1sick mentioned:

One of our CL moderators on Tail of the Dragon (not a track, but technically more challenging)

There is an excellent TV car review of the GS450H where two of them are driven hard around Infineum in CA.
