Im still trying to search old threads and I remember seeing something about it, but maybe someone can just tell me real quick... How do you reset your windows after diconnecting and reconnecting the battery. Right now I cant control any window from the driver side and no window has the 1 push feature right now. Help would be appreciated here, thanks ahead of time.
Work around the car clockwise (start w/ drivers door) and put window down half way (must use switch on the door itself - which will be flashing anyways). Then put all the way up and hold for 3-5seconds. Order is:
driver door
passenger front door
passenger rear door
driver side rear door
moonroof
This will reset the auto open/close functions of each window.
Could be because going to the dealer is too far/takes too long or maybe he disconnected the battery to do a bypass and is afraid to take it back since they might ask why he disconnected the battery in the first place.
Or maybe he thought that CL is more knowledgeable than his dealer service department
half way down, then all the way up and hold switch up for 3-5 seconds. That's what worked for me - learned it in the manual ('07 GS350). Don't ask me what page of the phone book it's on though but I know it's there.
Incidentally, this is different from other models (and could be a MY diff too) as our '04 GX requires the window to put all the way down and then all the way back up after battery disconnect.
