Can Pirelli PZero Nero M&S 245/40 17" tire match OE 17" wheel? How is it compare with Pirelli PZero Nero M&S 245/40 18" tire?

ce5288, the OEM 17'' tires are 225/50/17. I don't think they make
PZero Nero M&S with these specs. Personally, I like my 18'' 245/40
PZero Nero's and would buy them again, but keep in mind you will
be losing quite a bit of sidewall between the 18'' low profiles and the
17'' OEM's, so ride comfort will be reduced somewhat.

marshmallo, The correct tire size should be 245/45-17. 245/40/18 is stiffer than 245/45-17.
Like today, temperature is 80 plus here in New Jersey. The ride is stiffer compare with when at 100 plus. The rubber is way too hard on my current Michelin Pilot Sport tire, but the tire wall is too soft. It creates bad control and stiff ride. How is the tire surface and tirewall on the Pirelli PZero Nero?
