One touch dialing, it works while driving
I don't know how many of you all know this, or if this has been addressed before, but Pete at Lexus of Westminster let me know that one touch dialing can be used while your driving the car, and also showed me how to program the numbers.
The only real limitation, is you can only program 18 numbers for one touch.

As I stated before, in my opinion if you could not use this one touch dialing while moving, the system would be basically useless, since you would not be able to dial from the cars phone system while driving. Actually pretty lame when you think about it. Isn't the whole point of the Bluetooth system suppose to be hands free? Acura has had voice dialing in their BT system for years now.
Luckily the Gen 5 allows voice dialing, unfortunately all of us with the Gen 4 are screwed.

so this is the only provider that makes it mandatory to populate the 17 (no.6 is a redial function and cannot be programmed) one touch dials from numbers that you have called or received calls from. If you go to the trouble to transfer your favorite phone numbers into the cars bluetooth you can then move the names and numbers easily into one touch dials in settings provided you're not on Verizon....The Gen 5 Nav eliminates this problem as it allows you to manually input multiple numbers into your car's bluetooth phonebook. Gen. 5 allows voice number dialing also. This will be available on the '07 GS350/430/450h. The new VGA screen is brighter and has improved graphics too. Since the GS is standard with a screen the only thing missing would be a standard back up camera....
