99.9% of my customers have never heard of Mark Levinson, and are unaware of the companies reputation in true high end audio ( that Bose is not involved in). ( a Mark Levinson amp/ preamp might cost one more than a GS300AWD)
Very very good point LX.
Mark Levinson is considered one of the *premier* high end audio producers of "audiophile level" components in the world. In the "audiophile world", Mark Levinson componenets have very few equals across the board. The ones that do charge several tens of thousands of dollars for amps, turntables, and pre-amps. Lexus made a great business decision to partner up with Mark Levinson.
I personally have a 9500$ BAT VK6200 5 channel amp in my home theater system, but thats a drop in the bucket compared to what I could pay for a high end Levison amp.

When you buy a Lexus, you have to get the Mark Levinson premium audio system to complete the package.

I've heard the ML system before. Nice for stock, but not worth it to me. I rather get the standard and yank out the stock. system, and then put in a high-end aftermarket system. Then again, I'm an audio adict, and there are some things stock system can't do for me

Keep in mind that the Levinson stuff built for Lexus is nowhere near the quality that goes into their home components. Profit margins and mass production do not allow that. There are many shortcuts taken. Overall, pretty decent, but not the same high-end level.

yea. I wouldn't be surprised to see if the speakers's cone are paper made that can be flexed easily. They are probably $5 speakers like most other speakers. In addition, the ML syst***s deck has a built in DSP to make it sound good. If anything, it sounds good, but not "accurate."

I just saw this post and decided to go jump in my car which is parked in my driveway. I popped in Ja Z's Fade to Black and put the DVD on part 14. It's a live concert DVD. I felt like I was in a STADIUM CONCERT!!!! I still can't believe how GREAT that sterio is. If you ever thought twice or considered not getting ML I have to say RETHINK IT!!! You will regret it as soon as you turn on your non ML sterio

Aww man, u put in in the zone with that post!

My next Lex will have ML. Got to have it. I am not going to change anything out, so a stock ML system is good for me. And the ones in the new cars sound better than the first ML systems.
