How do your cars idle at a stop (in drive with foot on the brake)? I noticed that my car idles with slight vibration. I noticed it more when comparing it to the loaner car I have. My service consultant said it's because of the AWD system. I am contemplating dropping my car off again once the rattles are taken care of. How do your AWD's or RWD's idle at a stop?

 

Mine idles so smooth I can hardly tell it's running.

 

Mine's also smooth. Is your idle speed too low?

 

Mine is smooth here also idles at around 800 in gear.

For verification, your cars are in drive with the brake applied? Also, does your definition of smooth mean "I can't tell the enfgine is running" type of smooth. FYI, my car is not that smooth when idling at a stop light.

 

Either way, mine runs smooth stopped at a light or in motion. If I were you I would be making a trip to Lexus service.

 

Yup, it's there right now for other reasons. I'm gonna see if I can get this issue added to the work order.

 

Mine is perfectly smooth and feels as if it the engine was off.
