Smile Possibly Pointless?

I could not help but notice how many people here have the money to own the new GS, and looking at the photos, most of you fellas are in your 30s (Later 20s at the youngest). Are all you guys success stories?

Any replies would be greatly appreciated Though I know that this is a bit off topic...

18 with a GS...wish my parents had been that kind Hmm, I was sporting a Ford Bronco back when I was 18 (loved that car BTW).

Although the majority of owners who post here seem to be relatively young, this is definitely not a representative sample of Lexus owners. For every nicely modded GS I see, I will see five ten stock GS's driven by indviduals in their 50's to 60's.

Can't speak for others, but my path to Lexus ownership was straightforward. College -> Graduate School -> Work. Maybe a simpler route would have been to find a sugar momma

Good things come to those who work hard Bought my first Lexus ES 300 at age 24. Started my own business at age 25. Now on my 4th Lexus ten years later. Will always own a Lexus as my primary car (the Mazda RX8 is the fun car).

You say that most of these owners are driving the new GS. The new GS is still the minority here and the 2G is the predominant GS model. I happen to be 35, but I own a SC, but I wouldn't consider late 20's/early 30's to necessarily be "young" to be owning a luxury vehicle. As others said, hard work and goal setting can do wonders!!

As for success stories, It all depends upon your view. Some owners may have large monthly payments, others may have high paying positions and have the disposible income necessary. But I feel that you should never define success by one's material posessions. I make a decent wage and so does my wife. We don't struggle but we don't live beyond our means. Financially we may not fall into the stereotype of "successful", but I feel we are beyond successful! We are healthy and have a wonderful relationship, and a beautiful little girl. I have very good friends and family, and we enjoy life to it's fullest. I feel that is the true measure of success!

36 here..worked my butt off this is my first Lexus, have owned Audi's in the past. But good money management and luck in real estate has put my family in a good position where our mortgage and this car payment is our only major debt.

Well....i'm 31....the target age for the GS though is the little older crowd. I'm not sure you can say i'm a success story but the hard work in school though has paid off and has led to a nice career with a very nice income. My car monthly payment is $400.81 to be exact.
That's very reasonable i think.

how is your monthly payment 400 bux? you must have either leased it and put an exorbitant amount of cash down, or you financed it over a long period of time and put a whole lot down to get a payment like that.

plz let us know. im very curious.

A decent trade-in can make it low too.

My car payment? $0. Bought my GS400 new with one fat check. LOL

Wow, many success stories here I asked this because I want to own my own new GS by the time I'm 25, or around that age
