Default GS3/4 wheel question

Will the '06 18" OEM GS430 wheels fit on an '06 GS300? What are you all with GS430's that are upgrading wheels, doing with your stock wheels? How much are they worth on the used market? I may pick up a set for my GS300.

I'm almost 100% sure they will fit. Look in the ClubLexus Member Classifieds forum and you should be able to pick some up soon.

I was planning to purchase the 300 with the 430 rims and negotiated a price for it but few weeks later they said they can't do it. Says it will fit but when turning the tires would rub against the wells or something and would void warranty. Supposedly the 430 model is can accomodate the wider tires. So ended up with the 430. I think he was totally BSing though, cause another dealer was going to do it for me. But then whou knows if he knew what he was talking about...

The fender liners are the same on both cars. They fed you an utter line of BS. The brakes are different. There is NO WAY the OE 245/40-18s on the stock GS 430 wheels would rub on the GS300. I have seen plenty of GS 300s locally at dealerships upgraded with MOMO and other 18" ultra-bling packages. They clear by a mile. Your salesman was an idiot!

That's what i figured. The salesman walked me over to the service mgr to have him tell me the the 430 wheels are wider, like i would have believed him just b/c it came out of his mouth. I told him the spider wheels that can go on the 300 is the same size as the 430. I asked them to bring the specs on both tires and of course the service mgr was too busy and the salesman didn't know where to find them. It was when i was about to walk out on them, they offered me a deal i couldn't refuse on the 430. And i am sooo glad i go the 430 b/c i was always concerned about lack of power on the 300.

Congratulations on the purchase. What color did you choose?

If anyone wants to get rid of their GS430 18" wheels, I'll be glad to take them off your hands. I'll be getting my GS300 AWD soon and would like to swap out the stock 17's.

Got the silver w/ ash interior. I was debating b/w silver and the red (wife wanted the red and it is her car). I went up to their garage to take a look at the silver one last time and decided I should get the red since it is the wife's and she likes it. When I came back down to the show room where the red was, it got sold! Well, it made my decision a lot easier and the wife actually likes the silver better now and glad that I got it. HAHA..

she just didn't expect me to come back w/ the 430

Default 430 5 spoke OEM wheels/tires

I just got a set of OEM 2006 5 spoke takeoff wheels (only used until the wheels were swapped at Port of Entry). They are in perfect shape. I now need to get the tires for them. I will be putting them on my 2006 GS300 RWD. I think I will be having my Lexus Dealer or local Toyota dealer install and buy the tires from them. They both indicate if they break the sensors going from the GS300 wheels to the 430 wheels they will replace the sensor at no cost and also reset the sensors and will be no warranty issues. I currently have Dunlap SP Sport 5000A run flat M/S's on the GS300 (anyone interested in buying them?). I do not intend to get run flats but need to go with M/S living in the Midwest. I am planning to put M/S 245/40/18 on the 430 wheels. That is what comes stock on the GS430 5 spoke. Anyone have ideas as to which tires to go with. Thinking about the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S or Pirelli PZero Nero M&S. Anyone got any ideas. Also anyone interested in buying my GS300 OEM wheels/tires or wheels or run flat tires. Would appreciate any input. We are fairly conservative drivers and performance is a consideration but not our biggest concern. Tire wear, quietness and performance in light snow is more important. Thanks
