When I first lowered my car, I got a laser alignment at Just Tires and my camber in the front was -1.0 degrees and rear was -1.8 and -1.7. I installed the SPC ball joints at the same time as the rear Megan rear camber kit. I forgot to mention that I also installed Megan toe, upper and traction adjustable arms. After doing all of this, I took it back to the guys at Just Tires to adjust and re-align everything. After everything was said and done, I had 0 degrees in the front and -1.0 in the rear.

 

How much did everything cost?

 

The SPC ball joints weren't too bad at $165 but the Megan adjustable arms killed me. Fortunately, I have a friend who has a friend that was able to get everything for me for $500. Would have cost well over $700 if I purchased retail. I have to say though, after everything was adjusted, my GS did ride much smoother (more rubber to the road).

 

Been looking for these as well... The only thing I've found remotely close to this are the ISF bushings and I believe they're specifically for camber adjustment. Not sure how much better the quality of the bushings are though.

hey guys I'm a new user in here and just to say all the GS look magnificent. you guys have did really great work. Now to my question i have a 2006 GS and i want to go 22 because i don't want to lower it at all because of my warranty. I had a old 98 gs before and had 20s on in but now on the new gs i want to go 22. I want to know if i do the job right will it look good and will it rub? What do i have to do to make it not rub? What size tires do i need please help im looking to buy rims and need to know.....

 

I've seen only 2 3GS that looked good with 22's. Fitment is absolutely imperative. I can't suggest specs since I have no experience in this area. I believe 22's are too big for our car and therefore will not look into what it takes to achieve a good look. I also believe that even if you achieve the right look, there will still be other problems like rubbing, poor turning radius, leaking tires because of barely any rubber, numerous wheel scrapes due to poor rim protection from skinny tires, excess weight.....I could come up with others but you get the point.
Most of us would say stay away from 22's. There are a few who salute your effort and ultimately, it is your car and your choice.

 

I have had 2 sets of 22s on the car the first set I rode at stock height and the only issue I had was rubbing on the wheel well liner. They were not aggressive so no fender mods were needed. With my second set I chose to lower on Tein H tech spring which is a modest drop and fender mods were needed to accomodate. The biggest problem I had with 22s was finding tire sizes to fit my application the company I went with sucked and built my wheels super conservative because not too many people have done them on our car. So I ended up buying tons of spacers and playing with the car cause Im OCD as hell got fed up with the whole set up and went 20s lowered and aggressive. Im overall happy with the new set up but don t believe my last on looked terrible either its all in your taste and how much your willing to cut on your car. With my 20s I actually ad to cut more to make them work!!!!

 

The 10.5 rear width on the Vossens needs cutting to work?
Look like I won't ever get that size.
No wonder so many people sell their Vossens after owning them a short time.

 

err...... how do you correlate that? i know a lot of vossen owners and they have been with the wheels for long

10.5 doesn't mean you need to cut, it's in the offset. vossen wheels (at least the common ones) are all 1 piece so offsets aren't custom. and give their offsets, the rear is on the marginal side

and it comes down to the tires, some people i know they have vossen and didn't have to shave anything. some have to coz' of tires
