Default air pressure light help

ok now i have had my rims on my gs for about a week now and never had this stupid light come on and tonight im driving and it comes on and i got home and checked my manual and it was the air pressure light !!! i have search the threads of this forum and hadn't really found a answer on how to disconnect or turn of that annoying light. Another thing im wondering is if anyone had the master warning light come on at the same time as the tire pressure light ??? Any ideas or fixes would be appreciated.. THANK YOU

my understanding from my previous post is you rest the master...did you not have the tire pressure sensor installed on your new wheels?

needs to be on there.

or u can try this i havent tested this yet

get the sensors put them in ur car and reset the tire warning light. that might bypass it but im not 100%

the reason i say that because durring pdi's i dont put the correct air pressure in the spare(if it has 1) i just do all 4 and reset the light

but wouldnt the sensor be near each of the wheel? if he put all 4 in the car it might not be close enough to read it if the sensor was close to each of the 4 corners?

How does the tire pressure stem communicate with the car?

there's some sort of receiver, either on each corner of the car or in where the spare tire is that receives this information.

They work off of a radio frequency (RF). On some cars, they are location-specific; the sensors need to stay on the same corner they came from because some cars have the capability to tell you WHICH tire is low on pressure. This means that they will need to be re-coded when rotating the tires- typically easy enough if you know the procedure and have a strong magnet. Not sure if this is the case with the Lexus, though.

Just putting one in the corner of the car probably won't do it because they'll read only one atmosphere and will "tell" the computer that all four tires are flat.

Your tire shop did not mention this? Oops!

So there is no way to disable this feature without cutting the wire?

Is the dealer able to disable this?
I'd hate to have to go get the stupid sensors out of my old wheels...

Default My tire light came on

My light came on for a while and I couldnt figure out why since all the tires were at the right pressure. I called my dealership and the SA told me to air up the spare and the light went away ever since.
