Damn the STS is doing real well! They do have a lot of models and unlike the other carmakers, actual rebates, which come with the car before you haggle. I am surprised the A6 sales are below the RL, there are 2 models and I've seen the advertising. Audi just can't seem to hit it with most American consumers.

Infiniti has to be sad that even with all the glaring praise from the press and magazine wins, it hasn't helped sales at all. Sales have been flat since March.

And is it just me or did the 5 lose 900 units last month? That is tons. My only guess is they slowed down old 530 production as the new 530 with the new engine debuts very soon.

Thanks for the info Jrock.

Has anyone else noticed how the GS sales have went down very slightly each month while many of the competitors sales keep gaining momentum and going up (particularly the 5, M & STS). If the trend continues, GS sales will be well below 3k units a month by the time the GS350, 460 & 450h go on sale.

Don't get me wrong, I still love the GS.....just merely making an observation.

EDIT: I read the sales numbers incorrectly. (My brain is fried....it's been a long day at work)

Its neglible. Actually almost everyone went down in sales, the RL was the only increase, from last to second to last.

I read the numbers wrong. Don't know what I was thinking.

GS is doing great so far.............When the GS-hybrid, GS460, and GS350 are released, Lexus will have a great chance to lead this class in sales.

Also the E class and 5 series have more model variations including even a wagon for the E class.

The STS is selling like crazy, i have seen a bunch of these in Brooklyn with soft tops and white wall tires.

Default A comment and a question...

Can't believe the STS.

Didn't the 530 already switch over to MY2006?

I think all the press and magazine wins just contributed to the M being able to compete in this segment. I mean, it is a relatively new car to the public. So of course people are still turning to whats familiar. Either way, its still selling well. Maybe as the M gets more recognized, people will leave their comfort zone and try a new product with good reviews. I honestly dont get whats wrong with audi though. That car looks pretty nice to me

BMW has no where to go but up, since they are the last ones now to introduce their new 5 series line up (everyone else has their's out already). A new 530 out just recently with more power and a new 550i towards the end of this year. It seems they have saved the best for last.

I think the STS does well because they have a ZILLION dealers for one thing, plus many aged boomers who aren't quite ready to feel old in a Cadillac DTS get an STS instead.

The 5 series sales though ARE amazing. Now I will say the 5 drives GREAT. I guess its iconic status over the years though just brings drivers back regardless of how ugly and ergonomically bad the exterior and interior are. It's surprising the GS isn't doing even better against it because I think you can just about a GS430 for the price of a similarly equipped 530!

Well, in usual GM fashion, Caddy is throwing in some crazy deals on the STS. Have you seen the commercials?? My god, the deals are unbeleiveable, same with the CTS(a good friend of mine took advantage of the deal, and got a rediculously low price. Info in another thread).

Also, dont forget the few STS's that are probably going to Budget, National, Alamo, etc Rental car agencies, and other Fleet sales.

Not to siht all over the STS's achievements but its probably the only car in its class with strong fleet sales. I find the new STS to be a looker. Pretty attractive car.

I dont know why, but I'm actually pretty pissed that the new A6 is not getting the recognition it deserves. Its such a great car, with a beautiful interior. A major improvement over the old model. I guess I have to wait and see for the Avant S/RS6 models are introduced to see how this car is doing. Maybe they arent discounting the A6(havent read anything about deals recently), or marketing the new car that well(When was the last time you seen an Audi A6 commercial?? Its been awhile for me.

RL, finally had extended time with one over the weekend, and personally, I find nothing to really like about this model(Sorry to those who have the car, just my opinion). I dont see a reason to purchase this model over the TL. Except maybe the AWD, but outside of that, why spend 15K more??

Strongly agree with Sick on the 5-sereis deal.

E-class, wow, sales have been dropping for sometime now. I dont think they are going to improve anytime soon. I assume people are starting to realize that other companies are offering a lot more car for the money.

M has been doing pretty well, and obviously the GS as also.
