Default Anyone else have their backup camera flickering?

Twice now when I put the car into reverse, the video screen image had a very obvious flickering with black bars running up the screen. putting the car into P then back into R had no effect. Stopping the engine and restarting the car solved it.

Don't tell me I'm the first to experience this!

We have had the problem as well.

I think it might be the camera adjusting from night mode to daylight mode, but I am not sure.

If anyone finds out please post.

huh...i was getting concerned with this...happened to me twice....especially when i am backing out of the garage....from dark to light ....so YL06GS the tip about camera "adjusting" itself for proper lighting display kinda makes sense...i was going to call up the dealership but if anyone has an answer it would be cool.

I didn't call because that is what I think the answer is. I am sure others will know for sure.

I know for certain that one of the times it happened to me I was out in full daylight in the middle of a parking lot, so I don't think that's the answer. Even if it were, I'd expect the camera to adjust in under 10 seconds once you get out into bright light, I haven't tried timing how long the flickering lasts.

Lastly, since I can't reproduce it, I don't think it's supposed to do this. Can anyone make the flickering happen?

I've had mine for two weeks and haven't experienced the flickering yet. Seems like it might be a regional thing. Looks like the ones with the problem are on the west coast.
