Default New GS Spider Wheels..

Anyone has any opinions on the new Spider wheels? That option costs $2400. I'm wondering
I could save alot of money by purchasing after market wheels (e.g., BBS, ENKEI, etc.). Any
suggestions?

Thanks,
JM

Definately go aftermarket. There is an infinite amount of wheels out there. Check out Iforged. Thre are quite a few members here with them and they have all good things to say. PM D2Autosport about wheels. He can hook you up

i agree that you should look aftermarket for wheels. however, i have to disagree about iforged. do a search on ANY car forum and you will see that LOTS of people have had bad experiences with iforged. this was when orders were done through iforged directly however and things may be different now. also the quality of the wheel itself was not good. again, things may have changed.

Wow! This is fantastic! Any suggestions on the tires for these wheels? What should I do
with the stock wheels? I'm getting very close to getting all the options that I want now..

Hehe welcome to the club! There are alot of benefits to ClubLexus. Check the TIRE RACK link below in my signature for some tire recommendations. Brandon from The Tire Rack is very helpful and can assist you with your tire needs. Good Luck.

I couldn't resist the bargain deal for the Spider wheels so it already ordered. The next question
is which tire should go with these wheels. Consumer Report has recommended the Falken
tire. Anyone has experienced with the Falken? Any comments?

do you want pure performance tires or what? if so, get tires like perelli, goodyear, or even michellin

Default 18" wheel upgrade include tires

The $2450 wheel/tire upgrade includes the tires. The Spyder wheels at Sewell are a good deal. I recommend the Bridgestone Potenza, Michelin Pilot and the Yokohama. Don't forget that the tire pressure sensor/valve stems will be needed from the original rims. Don't break 'em because they are expensive little devils.

It all depends on what you're looking for. I'm partial to tire brands, Michelin is my favorite. I like Ultra High Performance All Season Tires. My top two choices are Michelin Pilot Sport A/S and Pirelli P-Zero Nero. Both have high ratings and have extra long treadwear. Good Luck w/your choice!

How does this sensor connect to the car? Should I take the wheels to the Lexus dealer? Or
any tire shop can easily mount them?

I have owned Michelin Energy, Pilot and Yokohama on my BMW. My first set was Energy then
I tried Pilot and Yokohama. I don't really like Pilot and Yokohama much. They are fine when they
are new but it is noticebly bumpier than the Energy. The Energy tire is last longer and quieter
but costs alot more. I think I'll go with the Energy tire.

Michelin too is my all time favorite. BTW, does anyone know the appropriate tire size for the
18" Spider wheels? I was told it is 245/40VR18.

245/40 is right for the 18s. What speed rating tire you get is up to you.

Default Pressure sensors are registered to the car's computer

Carefully remove the original sensors from the stock rims and install them to the new rims or you may have initialization issues.
