I WISH the new GS had this exact same gray. Iv seen the flitn and love it, but this carbon gray pearl on the new RL is absolutely eyepopping

He gave me a VERY competitive price on the RL and is not willing to budge on this price one bit. 45,700 + TTL.

This includes 2 yr free maintenance, loaner car on service appointments, wood steering and shifter added.

If i was to get the RL, i will get carbon gray pearl with either black interior or taupe (very light gray) and wood shifter and steering.

If i was getting GS...Flint mica with ash or black interior. Both interior colors look very sweet on this color. Either interior color wud work fine. Im interested on what the pricing situation will be in 4-5 months, as as of right now lexus is discounting 500 bux off the sticker for an 06GS.

Im sooo into the carbo gray pearl on the Acura...its making me want the RL now. The car looks increibly SLEEK witht his color.. and the price is VERY attractive. I just dont want to make a fast decision and regret later. aaahhhh I can wait, and if im able to get a better price from both lexus and acura, i think i should do that as discounts will be increased in due course.

What do u think guys?
Wow, that is aggresive. So lets see
1. People on other forums getting excited the GS has maybe $500 of to 1 customer
2. A RL listed at 50k being offered for 46k, $4000 of list. And they are adding
Wood-Look and Leather Steering Wheels $559.00
Wood Select **** $124.00
3. You shouldn't have to negotiate loaners
Here is the color. .
Well, the RL is a smoking deal and the best Acura sedan ever but I still say the GS is the superior car and what you would be most happiest with, not just next week but 3 years from now. Good luck

The RL doesnt even have a real wood steering wheel? WTF!? Im sticking faithfully with Toyota. Its between a 2004 LS430 or a fully loaded gs300. Id never get a Nissan or a Honda. Hello Fresh Alloy

So what about the rest of the wood in the interior? Its all fake too? You might as well just buy a ford 500 or a 300c

I have been inside the car, the wood is real on the dash and doors.

I don't know about the wheel, but the other wood is real. It's just a really, really thin layer, however. But I'd assume that's how all car manufactures do it to save on money and weight.

is one hour and 18 minutes. I expect better timekeeping from a CL moderator. I guess those little tiny clocks with the sweeping hands might make you think it's 3+ hours, but we should be a little more precise here

Oops type guys.. i know you all are goign to kill me...loll

i meant 46,700 + ttl which included 2 yrs maintenance, wood steering and shfiter, and free loaner car on service appointments.

Even still, its a very good buy at this point in the luxury sport segment for the car, its amenities, quality, reliability and power.

The pic of the RL ont his page is carbon gray pearl from the acura rl website. It actually looks more like flint mica in this picture. If you go to the RL vs GS pricing thread, i posted actual photo shots of the RL when i went tot he dealer today. You will be amazed hwo incredibly attractive the carbon gray pearl really is.

for future GS buyers... I just put down a deposit on an '06 Mercury Metallic AWD 300 on Saturday - dealer in northern NJ took $1500 off MSRP... but won't be able to take delivery until mid-April... nothing more than the basic Premium Package (i.e. sunroof, spoiler, AFS, run flats, etc.)... a dealer in northern Virginia had offered a "few hundred dollars" off MSRP, and his parts manager also offered a "few hundred dollars" off a deal to buy the 5-spoke 430 18's and sell the standard 300 17's back to make the deal a bit more attractive

In my cross forum snooping, it seems RLs can be had for 3k off list at Carsdirect.com. And people are getting RLs under MSRP with no problem.

Looks like there might be a pricing war that might erupt. Too early to tell. The market hasn't been this competative since around 1999/2000, when you had the E/5/GS/Lincoln LS/S-type/S80 Volvo/Audi A6 pretty much all new at the time.

We are dealing with
Revamped 5
Revamped E
A6 came out last summer
RL came out in Novemeber
New M35/45
New GS

Add the the older cars, LS, S-type, S80 and you have a very, very heated market.
