Default GS Review Watch

I'm eagerly awaiting the reviews of the GS from the major mags (C&D, M/T, R&T, Automobile, etc). We have to be getting close to the April issues. Hopefully there is some coverage - at least a first drive if not some full road tests. I have been searching every other day to see if anything comes up. Today I found this article in the Toronto Star:

Lexus Pushes for Passion:

1Sic: maybe you can put this in your review thread(??).

Good article. I disagree with the assesment that the "controls are further complicated with touchscreen" (or thereabouts). Touchscreen controls make Lexus the easiest to use. I design software user interfaces all the time. Next to MB, BMW, Ford, GM, Chrysler & Audi, a 4 year old can operate the controls without confusion. MB is the worst in my opinion.

That is from last months issue, the article has been scanned and can be found on the net:

The results were:

1. Infiniti M35 (Non-Sport)
2. Acura RL
3. BMW 530i (Sport 6MT)
4. Audi A6 3.2 quattro
5. Cadillac STS V6
6. Jaguar S-Type 3.0

Default "What Gives?!?" Motor Trend

Motor Trend has just updated their webpage and in the "This Month" section they show the cover and contents of the new issue. The cover is the new BMW 3. Okay, I can see why it gets the cover. But there is no mention on this page of any GS coverage. I don't get it! I can't believe that they didn't wait for the GS (or include it) in the March Sport/Luxury Sedan Shootout. And now they let another month go by without even a first drive. They do have a story about the new Avalon, however.

What gives Motor Trend?!?

Ps - not everything in the magazine issue actually gets listed on this webpage - so maybe they have some coverage buried in the paper edition...

Default Automobile Mag - April - GS300 Review

Automobile Magazine just released their April issue. The GS300 gets reviewed! I have not seen the paper mag - just saw that they updated their website showing the new cover (New 3-Series gets cover). Contents page shows that GS300 gets reviewed. Hopefully it has some substance - and some numbers!

If anyone gets the paper copy - tell us what it says please! Otherwise I'll check the next time I get by the news stand.

As of tonight Car & Driver and R/T still show March covers but I expect that they will update any day now.
