Dude if you are only 23 and have that much money to spend on a vehicle, you're still young, get something sportier and more impressive to the chicks, etc.... There are so many choices for you. You'll still have time when you are older to get the LS.

When I buy my 2004 LS430 in next few months, this is what it will look like. Leeladisky have done an excellent job of modding his car very tastefully. In my opinion it's the best I've seen thus far.

You can't go wrong with either one.....

Would I dare to say the ACURA RL is between the GS and the LS in terms of the target age group?

Default What is it about these cars???......

I'm assuming that when the LS gets redesigned in a year or so that it will take on the LF styling cues that we see in the GS. (Good or bad assumption??) If this is the case, does anyone think that the LS will lose some of that "distinguished senior man's" stigma???

Does anyone see the MB S500 in the same light as the LS? How about the BMW 7 Series? A8? Maybe it is just a function of the size of the vehicle and the proportions that go with that size.

Is it possible to style a large car in such a way that it would look appropriate with a 23 year old (THREXX) behind the wheel??

Threxx: Lexguynj has some good advice but I say if you like the LS go for it. The chicks you do attract will have some more "depth".

Ps - is Threxx = "XXX" ?!? If so then maybe Lexguynj was right!

I hope so. I think it can attract younger buyers without alienating the older if done right.

Yes, "Golden Girls". LOL!!! Thanks!

So what do you think about BMW7, S500, A8. Do they have the same aging effect on the driver?

Well I'm actually getting married here in May, so the girl thing doesn't really worry me since my fiancee couldn't care less. I just really appreciate the quietest/smoothest ride possible for some reason; and I also appreciate rock-solid build quality... HATE squeeks and rattles, which I must say even my GS seems to be plagued with from time to time.

Anyhow... for what it's worth I plan on getting a 5th-generation Corvette, a Saleen Speedster, or a 03-04 Cobra 'vert before I buy a new daily driver anyway... and then modding the **** outta it. I used to have a Z28, and most of my friends are heavily into sports cars, so I still most definitely have an appreciation for 'young guy' type of cars, too.

I believe the Audi A8, BMW 7 Series & Mercedes S Class although still driven by older folks in most cases, they all seem to have a ultra-luxury stigma to these vehicles that make it not look like a senior citizen ride like the LS does. Maybe it's the current LS's bland styling and just OK rims, but seeing a 745i with those 19" OEM rims, makes the car look incredible.

I've been married 8 years already, so I am too not on the prowl to pick up chicks, however I would at least like to convey to others on the road that I am not so old yet that I have to drive a luxury boat like the LS. I still would want a sports sedan, but something with more kick and prestige. I think a GS430, BMW 545i, MB E500 would be perfect for a young guy like yourself!

It looks nice, but in my opinion, NO Chrome Rims. Get the more current 18" OEM Rims with the Euro Suspension and don't put a rear spoiler, lip on this great looking vehicle. The recent LS commercials have those nice 18" factory rims.
