Do you have any gas mileage figures to share? I haven't driven enough miles yet to know.

I did take it on the highway for the first time today. (I had a demo on the highway - but first time for my car). The extra HP/torque + 6 speed make a lot of difference. Feels rock-solid at 100mph. The car is eager to go from 60-80 and doesn't feel like it is straining to make the sprint.

Definitely right. The tranny is intelligent as the name implies = ECT-i (Electronically Controlled Transmission w/Intelligence). Fuzzy logic technology works!
Yes but the Gen 2 GS had ECT-i and Fuzzy Logic. But comparatively speaking you wouldn't know it.

As Rockville said, for Gen 3, Lexus must have been listening to the performance enthusiasts and the Software prop-heads delivered!!!

Only an estimate of 2-3 MPG less with PWR.

Well you can put me in any Toyota/Lexus product and I can tell the difference in shift patterns for ECT NORM and PWR modes. I still remember the first car I have ever driven with the ECT PWR and a seperate ECT NORM switch. It was my uncle's 1986 Toyota Camry. Since then i've had a 1995 Avalon XLS with the ECT PWR switch and now my 04 IS w/the same switch. Lexus did a great job of improving on the ECT PWR shift programs for the 06 GS.
